Brookings Institution had a discussion on the Afghan partners we left behind in Afghanistan.
That discussion showed that these people were being processed through wrong categories: these are partners--whose risks were enormous.
The idea was advanced of the Australia program of resettlement. I did not work over the evening and found the program could be applicable to these Afghans.
I want to recommend the program identified in the Brookings Discussion, May 13, 10:30 AM for prompt action to save the lives of Afghan compatriots--some 160,000 left at the airport--waiting!
My opinion.
