Has President Biden ever heard of a paper tiger on the battlefield?

Ukrainians are dying for the cause of democracy; and their land is becoming devastated.

The United States and the West have come to their country's aid and succor.

But I cannot see the US Administration and the West's obvious end-game in mind.  The Russian military has been drastically reduced, to be sure, but equally obvious, being in that state, won't bring Russia to the negotiating table.  President Biden has made it clear the US does not want Russian land penetrated by forces of war.  The Russian military, though reduced to a mere force it once was, is being apparently treated with especial care by some Western on-lookers to its present performance in battle.  

The West should declare what its objectives are in helping Ukraine, if they are not helping Ukraine to reach a stage when negotiations are viewed as needed, expressed by both parties, to assure Ukrainian independence.
