President Sharaa of Syria knows the players in the Mideast--don't replace at this time. He's only been in the area for a little while.

What can he do to get his name off the undesirable leaders in the region?

He needs help that has HTS getting a more likeable evaluation.  In short, he needs to get the cooperation of the disparate groups that are the citizens of Syria; but he has to share his reign with them all!

He must be an arbiter among them, when there's a sense he's playing favorites.  But to my mind, he's got the Saudi's endorsement, given the choices, some of whom have their own interests, not that of the region.

My opinion.
