He had seen how often former Presidents and their Administrations had been lulled by words about the marvels of the Iranian nuclear project which had amassed so much nuclear stuff, but lacked the final urge to make a nuclear bomb.
And, evidently, he got tired of hearing all the wonders the stuff will do once fitted into the carrier of a bomb. Too much hype for him!
Once, he became President, he began to formulate a plan to take the bomb-matter on--before it ever became a bomb to threaten world peace. He was not to give the Iranians an opportunity to use all that nuclear material they had spent years amassing, yet still eliciting appreciation of the sites where it-all was, housed under the ground by some awe-struck Iranians.
So, he worked with the US military to devise a plan called "Operation Midnight Hammer" to go a-calling.
On June 21, thereabouts, the US dropped the operation's payload on the accumulated nuclear stuff, that had brought a sense of wonderment in the eyes of those who pondered what the stuff might eventually do.
"Operation Midnight Hammer" was successfully executed by the United States Military after President Trump gave the OK. The President thereupon thanked the United States Military for their professional competence.
Not much nuclear bomb material left in Iran to ponder over, today.
My opinion.
