Climate change may be responsible for the worst fires on record in Spain!

As if that's not awful enough, the whole of South America is warming up.  Poor quality snow lies on the ground; and resorts, down under, are suffering from lack of travelers, in search of skiing on challenging slopes, are making other plans this Fall.  Maybe, the truly adventurous of them will book for flight to the Moon, preparing for a ride-glide into outer space.

My imagination is overly active, tonight!

Fighting alongside with the Taliban of Afghanistan, in north Pakistan war is raging against Islamic State terrorists.

Attempting to impose sharia law, small bands of regional IS terrorists pose a threat to Pakistan's citizens--there has been much bloodshed in the North.

Pakistan has appealed to the US to provide intelligence as to the sale on the black market of weaponry left behind when the Allies pulled out of Afghanistan. Its soldiers could use some of that artillery.  They are looking to the US in order to pin down the Islamic fighters in battle, too.

Is there talk of re-stocking a US base in Afghanistan to help out the local military governments in their continuing encounters with these dissident terrorists?

Syria needs US advisers to train al-Sharaa in democracy!

The ruler of Syria knows little of democratic principles: the critical one being to listen to all his people and give consent to the governed.

But he will always have the taint of an authoritarian!  Can't be helped.

My analysis of Syrian politics.

Bring chipmaking to American shore, yes; but make use of a skilled chipmaking pool available from abroad!

The US is in need of skilled workers in chipmaking.  The technology calls on the world's AI available technicians to relocate here in the USA.

Japan and the Netherland workers are critically needed to operate in their realms of expertise to move things along in the supply chains of advanced knowledge: greater training for engineers.

My estimation.

Cities need poverty-alleviation programs that enable more activity from the poor!

Trump represents the affluent; Mamdani represents alleviating the poorness of the poor.  For one thing, the next mayor of New York is in favor of free city bus lines to increase ridership!

We need to find ways to make life more enjoyable for those experiencing the results of Trump's favoring the rich.  How is it that the Dems are not supporting programs to distribute staple foods to the poor through food stamp warrants?  As long as the Republicans find ways to lower cost of living for the wealthy, voters ought to be apprised of those running for office that are pledged to sponsor public programs that ease the life of poverty of the poor.  Make sense?

Mr. Mamdani is to be congratulated to discern that public support of those in power lean today toward the wealthy of society!  Many in prominence should come to offer aid for the societal poor and/or neglected.

Prominent authoritarian rulers have emerged to supplant democratic rulers world-over.

And what's more, they are committed to making a large profit.  Not the least of these is Chairman Xi and also Abiy Ahmed of Ethiopia and the Rwandan government.  Star among these new advocates of authoritarian rule is the bright star  of Vietnam, headed by its Communist leader, To Lam.

What is common in ruling characteristic is a reliance upon government spending to emphasize the role of government in making possible a growth in business.  Such efficiency in government attracts investors to partake.  Nevertheless, growth has been relatively slow for the ballooning populations nor to add substantially to the wealth of these autocratic government's.

My impression.

Innovation pertaining to using wind and solar is proceeding despite some reluctance!

New companies are emerging with models of how to make wind and solar even better than ever to produce electricity, reports the Economist, August 16 issue, pages 54-55.

Clean technology, whether in the use of generators, types of nuclear power, etc. are being deployed.  Google and Amazon are both exploring small generators per particular factories that are technically advanced over older models of generators.

The issue is, "don't let any stone be un-turned!"

My appraisal.

Japanese Car Manufacturers try to skirt tariff costs by tinkering.

They think of ways to boost profits that don't incur President Trump's levying ire of tariffs, such as shifting manufacturing of the cars to the shores of the US (that is preferred by the US Administration), and Mazda thinks it may avoid the tariffs by cutting costs to make the cars.  The general theme in Japan seems to be avoid getting to pay out on tariffs if at all possible!  Incidentally, Toyota has in mind to manufacture its EVs in Japan itself--at least luring more home folks to consider buying them.

Perhaps, cut back on advertising?  Who knows, especially when one considers any changes in tariffs that President Trump considers making is subject to further change!

In short, what country's car makers will influence Trump to come up with yet another scheme to alter tariff rates compared to some present schedule?

China dominates the Meeting of Russia, N. Korea and Modi's India with other nations in attendance.

Russia was seeking China's approval of N. Korean troops, helping the Russian offensive in Ukraine, while Modi appealed for Russian oil to meet India's needs for energy.  President Xi did not refuse to back these moves on behalf of China's friends.

So now, the United States gathers its forces and that of its Western Allies to counter the silent intrusion of drugs penetrating through the Caribbean into the blood of Americans!  Fye, Fye upon such hideous endeavors against freedom-loving peoples of the world!

And so, the beat of the war drums can be heard, declaring yet begging for peace and trade among those of good will.

My opinion.
